About Rima Catherine Bardawil

Personal Injury and Insurance Claims Attorney: My best qualities are empathy and passion. My empathetic nature allows me to identify with my client's needs and to understand their pain; and my passion allows me to fight relentlessly for their legal rights and for Justice. That may be an understatement, as many of my clients have gone as far as calling my litigation style as ferocious when it comes to protecting their rights and getting what’s rightfully theirs.

I have been relentless in fighting for my community for the past 18 years. It all started when I was a young curious girl in search of truth and fairness. As a child in elementary school, I would unyieldingly defend my fellow students from bullying and teasing. I was also a peacemaker and advocate even in my young school years, and helped bring peace between my classmates.

Even as a child I knew that I was going to be a lawyer, and proudly did my first trial in the 7th grade as a mock divorce for my elementary school sweethearts . I then went on to being President of my High school debate team, further refining my verbal and analytical skills. It was no surprise then that my passion was the law, and that I would go on to law school.

During my time at St. Thomas University School of Law, I graduated First in my Class with the Highest Honors given. I was also privileged to deliver the graduation speech to a warm and welcoming standing ovation. While a law student, I also received the most awards for achieving the highest grades in over 11 law school courses, as well as receiving the prestigious West Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award, among other accolades.

I served on Law Review (reserved only for those demonstrating academic excellence), International Moot Court and American Trial Lawyers, as well as achieving the highest honor in Appellate Oral Argument. Because of my love of the law, it was important for me to reciprocate my blessings and so I tutored students who were on academic probation and together we achieved our dreams of graduating law school.

My first job after college was as an in-house counsel for Fidelity National Insurance Company where I gained insight into the mindset and seeming labyrinth of insurance companies. After a few years, I moved on to work as a Plaintiff's counsel to help empower those whose rights were violated by others, especially large insurance companies.

After a couple years, I realized that my talents would be best developed if I started my own Law Firm. I proudly started my practice in 2001, and have been blessed to help so many people over the years obtain the respect and justice that they so rightfully deserved . Since then, every obstacle and hardship has been worth it, because when I see the gratitude and relief in a client’s face, I know that justice was well served, and that my hard work and sacrifice paid off.

When I’m out of the office, I make a difference through serving on various boards and associations such as Animal Organizations, my Homeowner’s Association, the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce, and other organizations. Finally, my love for justice wouldn't be complete if I didn't return the blessings I have been given.

I proudly donated hundreds of hours over the years serving my community with pro bono work both on my own and through programs like Put Something Back. I especially try to help poor, the weak, and my deepest passion is to help our beloved animal community.  I believe it is our duty as attorneys to help those who are less fortunate or voiceless.

This is where I can return my great fortune; by giving a voice to the voiceless, and power to the oppressed. Here I can ensure that their rights are fully protected and defended, where they otherwise would not have a chance. I wish you luck and success on your legal issue.
