Robert S. Williams was born in Patterson, New Jersey (1965). Mr Williams received his LL.M. in Taxation, with distinction , from the Georgetown University Law Center (1995), his Juris Doctorate, cum laude , from the University of Miami School of Law (1994), his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University (1990), and an Associate of Arts with a Major in Business Administration from Broward Community College (1988).
Mr Williams is a former Internal Revenue Agent (1991-1995). While working for the Internal Revenue Service Mr Williams received the following training: Basic Revenue Agent Training Phases I, II, and III, C.E.P. Team Member Training, TEFRA Proceedings, and Criminal Tax Trial Summary Witness Training.
Mr Williams is a member of the following: Florida Bar (1995)(Tax and Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Sections; Estate & Gift Tax Sub-Committee of the Tax Section (Chair 2006-7, 2007-8; Co-Chair 2001-2, 2003-4, 2004-5; and Vice Chair 2002-3)); United States Tax Court (1995); United States District Court (Southern District of Florida)(1998); and the United States Court of Federal Claims (2004).
Mr Williams’ law practice is primarily in complex business and estate planning matters, including business transactions and asset protection planning. Also practice in the areas of tax audit defense, tax collection defense, appeals of audit and collection determinations, criminal tax investigations and tax litigation, as well as probate and guardianship administration.
