Ryan S. Burke, born February 4, 1980, Walnut Creek, California; licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, admitted October 2005; the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. At Stetson, Mr Burke was a member of the Moot Court Board.
He competed in the Robert Orseck Memorial Moot Court Competition in June, 2004, where his team advanced to the semifinals. In 2004, he was selected as one of the members of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Team and traveled to Vienna, Austria to compete in the largest single Moot Court event in the world.
Mr Burke also participated at the Roby R. Vale Corporate Moot Court Competition in Delaware, in March 2005. During law school, Mr Burke interned for the Honorable William P. Levens, Circuit Court Judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit and for the Honorable Elizabeth A. Jenkins, U.S. Magistrate Judge.
He was also employed as a summer law clerk for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court, a law clerk for a Tampa liability defense firm and volunteered at the Pinellas County School Board Attorney's Office. Mr Burke graduated from Stetson in 2005 with a Juris Doctor Cum Laude and received a Certificate of Concentration in Advocacy.
Following his graduation from Stetson, Mr Burke worked as an associate at a Clearwater firm and practiced in the areas of automobile and property subrogation, construction litigation and bodily injury litigation. Mr Burke joined the Firm on April 30, 2007.
