Since 1987, Scott A. Ferris has held the role of managing partner at the law firm bearing his name. Scott's educational path led him from the Bronx, New York City, to Alfred University in New York for his undergraduate studies.

After earning his B.A. degree, Scott attended the University of Miami Law School, where he received his Juris Doctorate degree. During his initial year in law school, Scott embarked on a unique path by representing college football players as they ventured into the National Football League draft. This marked the beginning of a seven-year period during which he represented numerous NFL players who had played collegiate football at prestigious institutions such as the University of Miami, Florida State University, Penn State University, Syracuse University, and Colgate, among others.

In 1987, Scott decided to leave the competitive sports agency business and became a member of The Florida Bar and initiated the construction of a successful legal practice. In 1990, he expanded his legal horizons by becoming a member of the Washington, D.C. Bar, briefly entering the world of political lobbying.
