About Shawn A. Jiles
Shawn is Certified by the Florida Bar as an Expert in Civil Trial Law. Florida Bar Board Certification is a highly recognizable distinction that has been granted to less than 2% of Florida Lawyers. Shawn has been practicing civil trial law since 2006 and has handled thousands of civil cases. Prior to becoming a Civil Trial Lawyer, Shawn practiced exclusively as a criminal Defense Lawyer for nearly three years and represented thousands of clients charged with various degrees of crimes. Currently, Shawn practices Civil Law. Civil Law includes cases such as personal injury, automobile accidents, slip and fall, boating accident, trucking accidents, dog bites, negligent security, and insurance disputes. Shawn graduated with honors from the Thomas M. Cooley College of Law in December of 2002. During law school, Shawn was an editor of the Law Review, a member of the 60+ elder law clinic, and participated in mock trials and moot court programs and competitions. In his free time, Shawn remains very active in the local community. He is a member of the Bartow Rotary Club and has served as the Secretary of the Rotary Club. He currently serves as President of the Bartow Rotary Club. For the past four years, Shawn has volunteered his time to teach high school students about the law and trial practice and procedure.
