About Susan Beth Collingwood

Susan concentrates her practice representing health care providers and small businesses, providing proactive guidance for business endeavors and operations, as well as advice and representation in regulatory matters. Susan has 20 years of experience in all legal aspects of health care delivery by physicians and other health care providers.

  She managed the adoption of billing compliance plans and provided advice to the compliance programs at the UF Health Science Center.  She served on the Claims and Risk Management Committee, evaluating claims and potential claims for professional malpractice.  She advised on employee hiring, management, discipline and termination and responded to EEOC and OCR investigations.

  Her transactional experience includes assisting the University of Florida Tissue Bank, Inc. to grow its business through contracts and ultimately create a for-profit spin-off that went public and structuring relationships and negotiating contracts necessary for the University of Florida's creation of the UF Health Proton Therapy Center.
