On June 1, 2022 the doors of Rickerson Legal, P.A. officially open and Carmichael & Rickerson closes. Sheena Rickerson is former prosecutor with the Third Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office. She went into private practice forming Carmichael & Rickerson, PLLC in March 2020 until her former partner, Carey Carmichael, returned to the State Attorney's Office taking a position as a supervisor in June 2022. Sheena then opening Rickerson Legal, P.A. and is the sole owner and the firm is located in Downtown Jasper, Florida. Sheena is Board Certified in Criminal Trial by the Florida Bar and considered an expert in the field. Sheena Rickerson worked as a law clerk and family law paralegal from high school all the way through law school. During this time, she worked for many solo practitioners and boutique firms who handled family law, criminal law, workers compensation, social security disability, personal injury and insurance defense. As a family law paralegal, Sheena specialized in Divorce Power Analyzer software to assist clients with child support and alimony calculations as well as financial discovery. Prior to becoming a prosecutor, Sheena was an intern with the Eighth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office working in the Macclenny branch during her third year of law school where she assisted felony prosecutors with trying cases. After law school, she accepted a position as a prosecutor and has served in that role ever since. During those 6 years as a prosecutor, Sheena tried a combined amount of 40 felony and misdmeanor jury trials as well as non jury trials with an outstanding success rate. Sheena has even helped to create case law in regards to “Stand Your Ground” and self-defense cases. With her experience in both family and criminal law, she is truly an asset to her clients.
